BOGONG MOTH

This work was created during the end of 2019 when south east australia was ravaged by bushfires. Moths have shown up a lot in my work as a symbolic representation of myself. Migrating from ngunnawal and ngambri land (so called canberra) to naarm (so called melbourne), the moths metamorphosis is is a transition into fullness that resonates with me as something deeply queer. This artwork was donated to, and sold in an arts fundraiser run by Noir Dark Room, raising fund for First Nations fire relief in January 2020.
