KNITTED BATH

What The Water Gave Me, by Frida Kahlo in 1938 was the original inspiration for this work. It includes images in the water as if reflections, moments from Frida’s life past and present. The work of this artit resonates with me and over lockdowns of Covid In Melbourne I have found a lot of solace in taking a long hot bath. The feeling of having my whole body in be water is so soothing, and such a good spot to decompress and reflect. After some brainstorming different things to knit I choose the image of a person in a bath as  I had a strong connection to it.

Trapped inside during a stormy lockdown, I have chosen to exhibit my artwork in dream locations. When I draw my bath I close my eyes and imagine I’m here.
